Attention all health and safety training providers!

Private sector training providers in New Brunswick are invited to submit their names to appear on a Health and Safety Training Providers list, posted on our new training portal.

The portal is part of our commitment to raising the bar on health and safety in New Brunswick, and underlines the importance, and obligation, of providing workers with appropriate health and safety training. It includes links to legislation, including New Brunswick’s Occupational Health and Safety Act and its regulations; a list of health and safety training providers; a section on frequently asked questions about health and safety training; and, information on our Recognized Health and Safety Training Provider Program.

To further support our efforts in raising the bar on health and safety, WorkSafeNB has launched its Recognized Health and Safety Provider Program. All those companies who agree to be audited against a new training standard will be granted a `Recognized Health and Safety Provider Status’. The provider list will be broken down into three groups, as follows:

Group 1 – Companies that have applied for and have been audited by WorkSafeNB and have achieved Recognized Health and Safety Provider Status.

Group 2 – Companies that have made a formal application for Recognized Health and Safety Training Provider Status but are awaiting their audit by WorkSafeNB (audit pending).

Group 3 – Any other health and safety training provider who wants to be listed.

Once the Recognized Health and Safety Provider Status Program is launched, then names will be added to Groups 1 and 2 as these companies meet the Recognized Health and Safety Provider Status criteria. To encourage companies to raise their bar on health and safety training, WorkSafeNB will only list Groups 1 and 2 as of January 1, 2014.
