DAY OF MOURNING – APRIL 28

On April 28, please take a moment to remember those injured, killed, or afflicted with an occupational disease while on the job.

The following is a selection of Day of Mourning ceremonies around the province:

Atholville/Restigouche Day of Mourning Ceremonies
Sunday, April 27

1:00 p.m.  Solidarity March from AV Cell Mill to Atholville Town Hall for Memorial Ceremony.

2:15 p.m.  Labour Landmarks Workshop at the Centre communautaire Atholville, Alma Room.

Moncton Day of Mourning Ceremony
Monday, April 28

12:00 p.m.  Memorial Ceremony at “April 28 Monument”, at the Bore Park, Main Street, Moncton, N.B.

Saint John Day of Mourning Ceremony
Monday, April 28

12:15 p.m.  at Pugsley Park, in front of the Longshoremen monument.

WHSCC Day of Mourning Ceremony
Monday, April 28

8:45 a.m.  Flag Lowering Ceremony (1 Portland Street, Saint John)

10:00 a.m.  Flag Lowering Ceremony (Workers' Rehabilitation Centre, Grand Bay)
