  • Advise workers, employers, unions where applicable, and service providers, of WorkSafeNB’s commitment to early and safe return to work as part of therapeutic rehabilitation following a workplace injury; and

  • Advise workers of the criteria to qualify for vocational rehabilitation;
  • Provide staff with decision-making tools for planning and managing vocational rehabilitation plans for injured workers; and
  • Identify the course of action for each injured worker after vocational rehabilitation is completed or the plan has been discontinued.

Description: The purpose of this policy is to provide direction to staff in determining who meets the definition of a surviving spouse and/or a dependant.


Workers Under 21
