WorkSafeNB has provided rehabilitative services to injured workers, through our rehabilitation centre in Grand Bay-Westfield, since 1965. We ensure the highest standards in our programs, respecting current medical practices and research, and we continue to add and improve services to meet the needs of our injured workers.

  • Nutritional counselling
  • Psychological assistance
  • Mobility assessments and maintenance
  • Education services (value of exercise, safe lifting techniques, stress management)
  • Work capacity evaluations
  • Jobsite analyses
  • Jobsite evaluations
  • Ergonomic evaluations
  • Risk factor analyses
  • Psychometric tests
  • Prosthetic/orthotic services are offered at the centre by a third party.

Accreditation

The Work Recovery and Vocational Evaluation Programs are accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) International. CARF accredited programs and services have demonstrated that they substantially meet internationally recognized standards.

  • All professional staff, including physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, psychologists, social workers, a dietitian and a prosthetic/orthotic technician are licensed or registered and members in good standing with their respective professional bodies.
