COVID-19: What to do as restrictions ease

When COVID-19 introduced itself in the first quarter of 2020, the world was forced to quickly adapt.

The virus changed not only the way we work, but the way we live. Wearing masks, physical distancing, working from home and online meetings became our “new normal.” As restrictions ease, COVID-19 will continue to create challenges. It will stay, as will other communicable diseases like norovirus and influenza.

To help, WorkSafeNB has developed Working Safely Amid COVID-19 and other Communicable Diseases and an accompanying four-step approach and template for developing a communicable disease prevention plan. These two resources can guide employers on what to do now, two years after the pandemic’s onset.

Like Embracing the New Normal, which supported employers earlier in the pandemic, Working Safely Amid COVID-19 and other Communicable Diseases is highly graphic with helpful tips and alerts. It also offers "real-life" examples of workplaces, demonstrating some precautions employers can take for their specific worksite.
