WorkSafeNB is investigating a workplace accident on August 10 that claimed the life of a 31-year-old mechanic with Northern Construction in Grand Falls.
The worker was taking apart a truck cylinder when parts that were under pressure struck him, causing fatal injuries.
WorkSafeNB’s investigation will include a focus on workplace procedures and stored energy.
WorkSafeNB’s health and safety officers are investigating to determine how the accident could have been prevented and if there were any violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
