WorkSafeNB is investigating an accident that occurred on January 14 at a garage in Kedgwick River that claimed the life of a 60-year-old heavy equipment mechanic.
The deceased sustained fatal injuries while performing service work on a vehicle.
The investigation will focus on how the accident could have been prevented and if there were any violations of the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Areas under investigation will include matters such as safe working procedures, use of tools and worker training.
