Announcement Phase 2 in effect

June 17, 2021

New Brunswick has entered Phase 2 on the path toward the Green level of the COVID-19 recovery plan. If entering or re-entering the province for work, you do not need to apply for a critical infrastructure exemption if you:

  • Have not been outside the Atlantic provinces, or Avignon or Témiscouata in Quebec in the previous 14 days;
  • Are a Canadian resident with at least one dose of vaccine, or;
  • Are coming from an international location and have received two doses of vaccine.

Travel registration continues to be required for all travellers entering New Brunswick from outside the Atlantic provinces.

Phase 2 increases the flow of people into the province and our workplaces. Following Public Health guidelines and operational plans remains critically important for protecting workers from COVID-19.

All regions of the province are still in the Yellow alert level and workplaces need to continue to follow the yellow phase requirements provided by Public Health.

Employers should check their operational plans to ensure that they meet current requirements.
