News Release Phase II regulatory amendments now in effect

General Regulation 91-191 is undergoing numerous legislative changes in 2022 and 2023 that will enhance health and safety in New Brunswick workplaces. We are pleased to share that the amendments from the Phase II review are now in effect, impacting the following areas:

Confined space       

Lockout for piping

Critical lifts

Hoisting apparatus standards updates

Welding

Laboratory safety

Electrical safety

Hot tapping

Pedestrian safety (near forklifts)
