WorkSafeNB is investing $100,000 to advance psychological health and safety in New Brunswick workplaces through a new Psychological Health and Safety (PHS) Grant. The funding will support evidence-based initiatives that promote workplace psychological health and safety or work to prevent or mitigate traumatic psychological injuries (TPIs). This new grant reinforces WorkSafeNB’s commitment to reducing psychological harm and building resilient workplaces across the province.
The grant program will prioritize projects that provide services to New Brunswick’s first responders, emergency health care workers, and anyone who deals with trauma on the job or is at risk of TPIs.
The grants will support projects such as awareness programs, training, and prevention initiatives that support psychological health and safety in New Brunswick workplaces.
“WorkSafeNB understands that a truly safe workplace cares for the whole worker — both physical and psychological health,” said Tim Petersen, President and CEO of WorkSafeNB. “By investing in prevention and supporting those regularly exposed to trauma, we are taking meaningful steps toward our vision of making New Brunswick the safest place to work.”
WorkSafeNB will be accepting applications until Jul 13, 2026. To learn more about the application process, visit TalkSafetyNB.ca.
