WorkSafeNB is proposing a new policy addressing medical marijuana management for injured workers. It aligns with recommendations of Health Canada and the College of Family Physicians of Canada for the prescription of medical marijuana. Policy 25-015 Medical Aid – Medical Cannabis offers guidelines for prescribing, monitoring and administering medical marijuana. It restricts approval to products rich in CBD (low THC) as well as pharmaceutical products containing marijuana extracts, for a limited number of conditions.
