News Release Campaign urges employers to check their COVID-19 operational plan

May 19, 2021

Fifteen months into the pandemic, we can't let up. We must stay diligent, focused on keeping New Brunswick workplaces safe.

A new campaign reminds employers of the importance of their operational plan. "Is your operational plan up to date?" reminds business owners of their responsibilities.

Among them, they must check Public Health and WorkSafeNB sites regularly for changes that could affect their operational plan; update their plan as needed; inform and train staff of any changes to their plan; and ensure the plan is readily available to Public Health, Public Safety or WorkSafeNB on request.

Employers are the first line of defence for COVID-19 prevention in workplaces. WorkSafeNB is working with government partners and employer and worker groups to help ensure they have the knowledge and tools they need.

The campaign includes:

  • Video
  • Stakeholder message sharing
  • Social media campaign (We ask all New Brunswickers to check our channels regularly and share: Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.)
  • Enhanced web content

Both WorkSafeNB and the Province of New Brunswick have guides for developing and managing a COVID-19 operational plan.
