Fall protection regulation review (Consultation closed)

WorkSafeNB is preparing amendments to New Brunswick's fall protection regulations to harmonize with national standards.

Fall protection plays an important role keeping workers safe in many New Brunswick industries.

Harmonizing safety standards also plays an important role in improving the health, safety, and environment of New Brunswickers by ensuring the products and services we use are safe, reliable, and consistent. Harmonization also supports the economy by promoting innovation and reducing red tape.

We value your knowledge and expertise and seek to integrate your feedback into our decision-making process. As a stakeholder-driven organization, we believe the proposed amendments warrant consultation with New Brunswickers, and are specifically seeking your input to help determine:

  1. Support for improved safety measures.

  2. The business impact on New Brunswick workplaces.

  3. If delaying the implementation of requirements for older "safe" equipment should be considered and if so, under what conditions.

The consultation ran from September 22 to October 20, 2021. Read the consultation results.

Thank you for helping to build a safer New Brunswick.
