A decision review is the required first step in the appeals process. It takes a second look at your claims-related decision to ensure that it is compliant with legislation, policy, and individual merits of your claim. You need to request a decision review before making an appeal to the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Tribunal.
In accordance with the Workers' Compensation Act, a review of your Permanent Partial/Total Disability award will be made on the anniversary month of your accident and if applicable, adjusted in accordance with the changes in the New Brunswick Industrial Aggregate Earnings.

The new Medical Form 8-10 requires physicians to provide functional abillities recommendations. Evidence shows workplace connection is good for mental, physical and emotional health. Even if a worker is able to work one hour per week, there are positive benefits.
