JHSC meetings and minutes

JHSC meeting minutes are a legislative requirement of the Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Act. JHSCs must use a template approved by WorkSafeNB and submit the completed minutes to WorkSafeNB after each meeting.

Workplaces can use the template provided by WorkSafeNB or customize the template to their specific needs. See the interpretation for more information.

Yes, a copy of the minutes, signed by at least one committee co-chair, must be sent to WorkSafeNB. Learn more.

JHSC minutes forms are acceptable when they contain, at a minimum, the information found in the legislative interpretation on the topic.
